Job Summary:

The Tax Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the tax office, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing the tax preparation process. Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:
   • Supervise and train tax staff, including tax preparers and assistants.
   • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that deadlines are met.
   • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
2. Tax Preparation and Compliance:
   • Oversee the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
   • Review tax returns for accuracy and completeness before submission.
   • Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and changes to ensure compliance.
3. Client Relations:
   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
   • Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
   • Conduct consultations to inform clients about tax strategies and regulations.
4. Office Administration:
   • Manage the office budget, including monitoring expenses and profitability.
   • Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings.
   • Ensure that office processes are efficient and organized.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
   • Prepare reports on office performance, trends, and metrics.
   • Analyze client accounts to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning.
   • Collaborate with upper management to achieve company goals.
6. Training and Development:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
